The green city of the future shines through this installation for a Cleveland art park. The park reflects two forces: the city’s heritage of craftsmanship and its new green agenda. We covered irregular forms with flexible, solar-paneled skins; these charge LEDs that glow within the forms at night. The designer asked that our frame look “hand bent”, hence the organic kinks. In winter, the fabric is removed to showcase the metal armatures as sculpture.
