Recently we completed the second phase of the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airport Terminal) project.  In July we told you about the first phase, the Terminal 1 Information Kiosk. As part of GTAA's new customer service initiative and rebranding ZAS Interiors was asked to create a brand new Information Kiosk in Terminals 1 and 3. A dynamic and deliberately attention grabbing concept included GTAA's recently developed vibrant colour scheme and logo. In Terminal 3 there was limited space and low ceilings which necessitated a scaled down design.  To create a a light, floating look as per design criteria, Eventscape incorporated significant cantilevers, supported by a minimal number of columns. To avoid lateral bracing, high performance moment connections were used at the base of the columns.
