We are very honored to win a 2011 Product Innovation Award.  Nine years in the making, the inaugural Architectural Products, Product Innovation Awards recognizes product ingenuity in the built environment. Judged by top experts in the field, Eventscape was awarded an Application award for the Custom Back-ventilated rain screen system our design engineering team developed for the Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill. The challenge on this project was to design and engineer a facade panel system in which the reveals (panel joints) would also act as recessed light coves. Conceived by the designer as a modern take on a classic portico style, Eventscape proposed a custom ventilated aluminum panel system. 

Using the panel reveals as light coves is something that has never been done before - a totally new type of facade system.  The challenge was to engineer the light cove to project light evenly from a hidden source, while directing water through the system and incorporating proper ventilation.
